Welcome to what is the site of "As casa da Ribeira Grande", a network of local accommodation houses. Traditional houses that have been intervened in order to maintain their genuine characteristics but in a modern way, meeting what are the needs of those who visit us. That is why we are concerned with promoting the best of what we have on the island and in equipping our homes with current technology, in the most comfortable way possible.
We are a motivated, and high standards of quality, family who, in 2014, started the remodeling of "A Casa do Chafariz". A traditional house, with a completely contemporary and equipped interior and exterior.
In 2015, we executed the great rehabilitation project of "A Casa da Cascata", the guesthouse. A house dating from the early twentieth century, of italian architectural current, of 3 floors, with the original pavements and high ceilings. We kept as much of the original we could and modernized the aspects required for its new use. The house is located in one of the most important squares of the city and overlooks the main monuments, mountains and the north coast of the island, observing the sea and the sunset.
Also this year, to host families and larger groups, we opened "A Casa da Ponte". Rebuilt in a modern, spacious, bright and well ventilated way, has all you may need to a great stay.
All of our houses are marked by traditional Azorean traces and always relate themselves in a special way with the architectural component, creating an ambiguity between the traditional and the modern language. All of them are located in the historic center of the city of Ribeira Grande, on the island of São Miguel in the Azores.
But our mission doesn´t end here. With our heart, motivation and determination, we are constantly innovating our structures and our ultimate goal is the welfare of our guests.
